Medicare Supplements

A Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan is private insurance that provides coverage above what is paid by Medicare A and B. A Supplement covers expenses such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

As a Supplement does not cover prescription drugs, a Part D plan must be added.

Medicare Advantage

An Advantage plan (Medicare Part C) is private insurance that replaces original Medicare A and B. It  provides coverage and benefits above and beyond original Medicare, generally with no additional cost above Part B premium. Part D prescription drug coverage, as well as dental, vision, and other perks, are generally included.

Medicare Part D

Medicare Part D is the federal government's prescription drug program. This prescription drug coverage is obtained from a private insurance coverage.t covers both brand-name and generic prescription drugs at participating pharmacies in your area.
